Enhancing End-User Adoption of IM&T within the NHS

Wednesday 4th March at The Royal Society, London.

A seminar for forward thinking IM&T professionals looking to significantly increase end-user adoption of systems and processes within the health sector.

What the seminar will focus on:

This informative, case study based seminar will address the critical issue of end-user adoption of new IT systems and processes within the NHS. The seminar will investigate the approaches, methods and technologies used by leading NHS trusts to transfer the knowledge and skills their end-users require to become successful users of IT systems.

Speakers from Hammersmith and Fulham PCT and Basis will share their experiences of driving end-user adoption through blended training, ongoing performance support and change management programmes.

Hammersmith and Fulham PCT will explain how they enhanced the standard LSP adoption programme and the benefits this will yield, whilst Basis will highlight the importance of involving the end users in the change process by managing the cultural and organizational impact. Together these approaches form the “how” and “why” of systems change.

Why you should attend:

Attendees will gain an invaluable insight into the real-world issues faced by the trusts to ensure their staff maximised the potential of new IT systems. By understanding the obstacles, and how they were overcome, attendees will be able to apply best practice when building and implementing end-user adoption programmes.

Who should attend:

The seminar is aimed at NHS staff who are directly involved in the deployment of new or upgraded IT systems. IM&T, IT training, change and programme managers will benefit from the experiences of their peers who have been through the process.
