EASY CREATION OF LESSONS
Once the process has been captured, KStutor is then used to turn this into a lesson; effectively providing both the context for the learning as well as adding questions in a variety of formats to test the users' understanding.
KStutor's intuitive interface has been designed to allow non-technical authors, for example the Subject Matter or Process Expert, to create the lesson. Removing the requirement for specialist IT staff significantly speeds up the production whilst reducing the cost of delivery.
Lesson creation provides a “wrap” around the captured simulation and usually adds:
- The context for the lesson to ensure the end-user understands the benefits to himself and the organisation
- Multimedia content to make the lessons more compelling
- Questions and quizzes to verify that the knowledge has been successfully transferred
Content can then be delivered to the end-user in multiple formats:
- 'Show me' content steps end-users through processes and system transactions
- 'Movies' allow end-users to watch how processes should be carried out
- Tests can be used at any stage of the learning process to ensure end-users have understood the the lessons
- All documentation can be produced automatically from the simulation material
- 'Cue cards' sit within the live application to provide end-users with instant access to all learning content at the point of need
Version control
Larger projects frequently require multiple authors of content to collaborate. KSdeveloper provides a content management environment which enables a team to work on shared projects in accordance with best practice and includes:
- Version and change management controls
- Audit trails for content changes
- Shared templates and design objects
- Simple project management
Once the lesson is complete, this is published to our implementation management system, myKS, (or an existing suitable platform such as a Learning Management System).
